—— 藏文中「Bardo」的意思是「中陰」，指的是一個情境的結束和另一個情境的開始之間的過渡或間隔狀態。具體來說，"Bar"意指「在……之間」，而"do"意指「懸空」或「被丟」，合起來即表示「介於兩者之間的狀態」。在藏傳佛教中，Bardo特別指的是死亡和再生之間的中間狀態，這一時段充滿變化和不確定性，但同時也是轉化和覺醒的關鍵時機。此概念源自藏傳佛教經典《中陰聞教得度》（The Tibetan Book of the Dead中陰度亡經），並且象徵生命與死亡、意識狀態的過渡期。（*Bardo說明引自Perplexity）

The soul watches foam whispering beneath the moonlight recede.
The world—such vivid memory of the void.
I couldn’t help but chuckle, narcissistically amused...
So this is what they call the universe.

"Bar" means "in between", and "do" suggests "suspended" or "cast away". Together, Bardo signifies a suspended state between two phases.
In Tibetan Buddhism, Bardo specifically refers to the intermediate state between death and rebirth, a liminal space charged with uncertainty, transformation, and the potential for awakening.
This concept originates from the Tibetan classic Bardo Thödol (The Tibetan Book of the Dead), and symbolizes the passage through states of consciousness, life and death—a sacred moment of impermanence and insight.
