—— NPC 是“非玩家角色”（Non-Player Character）的縮寫，指在遊戲中不由玩家操控、而由系統或主持人控制的角色。NPC也被用作網路迷因，比喻那些被認為缺乏自主思考、習慣跟隨主流意見或重複既定台詞的人。

《鳥人》(Birdy)1984 Alan Parker 的電影，Birdy 是一個孤獨、古怪、與主流世界格格不入的人，他從少年時期就迷戀鳥與飛行，甚至把“成為鳥”視為逃離現實、獲得自由的方式。越戰創傷之後，這個傾向更進一步成為他退入自身世界的方式。

那年我剛離開大學入伍當兵，意外看了這部電影，感覺自己其實也是個“鳥人”。42年過去，很多事變了，很多事一直沒變。

   — NPC stands for “Non-Player Character,” referring to characters in a game that are not controlled by players but by the system or a game master. NPC is also used as an internet meme to describe people who are perceived as lacking independent thought, who habitually follow mainstream opinions, or who repeat set lines.

《Birdy》 is a 1984 film directed by Alan Parker. In the film, Birdy is a lonely, eccentric outsider who has always felt out of place in the mainstream world. Since his teenage years, he has been obsessed with birds and flight, even viewing “transforming into a bird” as a way to escape reality and gain freedom. After suffering trauma from the Vietnam War, this tendency further evolved into a means for him to retreat into his own inner world.

That year, I had just graduated from college and enlisted in the military. I happened to watch this movie and felt that I, too, was actually a “Birdy.” Forty-two years have passed; many things have changed, yet many things have remained the same.

   — Sitting alone at Dapochi(大坡池).The soul projects itself into this reality, lucid in its essence, yet too deeply intoxicated by reality. And yet, that too is ta’s magic of time. In this way, one experiences the laughter and sorrow that arise through life, and comes to see oneself.
