Accidental 16
The spring breeze stirs the details of thought
The fragrance of the bitter neem flower intends to disrupt human speech
My imagination, which is gradually drying up, opens a story book for me
That was accidental page 16
Purely like childhood, gazing at the sea outside the window
In dreams, recalling the future
Only the llaihiohs flying freely with their sky
—— My seat number 16 when I was in elementary school has become the most memorable number in my memories of my trip to Earth.
*Llaihioh[laiheoh](It’s the Taiwanese name厲鷂 for black kite or Milvus migrans ), a common fishing eagle on the Keelung coast. For pinyin characters, please refer to this article
“台語羅馬拼音字試寫” (Taiwanese Romanized Pinyin Characters). The words "古冊golceq" and "厲鷂llaihioh " are in Taiwanese when read, and "厲鷂" is in Taiwanese pinyin when translated into English.
