—— 山陀兒颱風前夕，去高雄探望一位罹癌的老朋友，十一年未見，身形消瘦大半。也許一切都將隨黑暗而逝，只有回憶是黃昏的最後一道餘光。
夜行南迴，寫在歸返的台鐵區間快車上。

A journey without time
and without destination
walking through an unnamed interval
in the currents of life
when suddenly the self is lost

are swallowed by the dark
memory becomes
the last glow of dusk
—— On the eve of Typhoon Santore, I went to Kaohsiung to visit an old friend battling cancer, whom I had not seen for eleven years. His body had grown thin, almost to a shadow. Perhaps everything will one day vanish into darkness. Only memory remains as the final afterglow of dusk. Written on the Taiwan Railways local express as I returned along the Southern Link Line.
On January 23, 2025, J left our world to begin another new journey.
