(*The following is an English translation of the poem)

       Dedicated to Solitude
When the loss of thought is mistaken for thought itself,
You blur your own reality.
You have no time to burn language, only to wave dust with empty hands.
Those unsettled hesitations and the world
Sadly refuse the visit of spring.
Originally a cycle of games,
Originally an infinite drift on a Möbius strip,
You desolately watch the words in letters grow sparser,
So bored, you carve yourself a weathering tombstone online,
Such a perfect IMPERFECTIO.

Dedicated to the bitter youth bravely entering the lost wilderness,
To the times you loved that never loved you back,
To the mother who sheds tears for you,
To the father who secretly pities you behind your back,
To the few friends,
To the late-blooming middle-aged still perplexed by the meaning of existence,
To those distant, unrealized loves,
To the ghostly, flashing and disappearing lines of poetry,
To the approaching helpless old age.

Dedicated to the unknown truths and the unvisited corners of library shelves,
To the orgasmic light and shadows in a sexual fantasy.
To the annoying salesman at the subway underpass exit,
To the worldly values that once despised you,
To that merely polite, warm embrace,
To the politicians’ hypocritical speeches, so splendid,
To resisting sleep, refusing to yield while staying up late,
To the memes of coffee and tea,
To the cold jokes from phones and AI,
To ignorance and their passionate anonymous comments,
To refusing to deal with the world.

Dedicated to the thief of the heart,
To the irretrievable misses,
To those happy times of slacking off,
To the old photos rediscovered yesterday,
To still having tears,
To still being able to feel heartbeat,
To all the past deep confessions,
To the universe’s devouring echoes,
To the falling of stars,
To the dark silence of a power outage,
To humanity’s restless desires and greed,
To a beautiful encounter forty-five years ago.

Dedicated to the declining physical bookstores and every page once quickly browsed while standing,
To the soong geh wwulat'e pangvi, the vulgar yet vigorous aroma wafting from the small eatery across the station,
To every beautiful and elegant figure on the runway,
To the detestable faces and the well-hidden kindness,
To the childlike ancient souls,
To the past,
To tomorrow,
To the present moment,
To the distant beyond sight,
To the silently fading memories,
To oneself who accepts solitude.

—— Dedicated to solitude and to those who have been, are, or will be solitary.
