The Real Journey
Time reproduces asexually,
Stringing together the copulation of yin and yang in space.
In the spiral cycle of games,
Night is the mother of day,
Day is the father of night.
We are the newborn ignorant children.
Time measures the evolution of space,
This way or that.
We fear because we are confused,
And explore because we are curious.
The treasure map of truth is but a belief—
Only the journey underfoot is real.
—— If one asks what existence is, the Latin proverb Solvitur ambulando declares, "It is solved by walking." Equivalently, "to exist is to walk." This is the ultimate truth of the Dao—the Dao exists only in the immediate act of walking.
